- Leaking manholes are one of the leading contributors to sanitary sewer overflows
- Manholes are often ignored because they are out of sight. However, they are the easiest and least expensive part of sewer systems to inspect, evaluate and repair.
The Solution:
- Stop inflow and infiltration using deneef HYDRO ACTIVE® Multigel NF chemical grout.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION- HYDRO ACTIVE® Multigel NF is a hydrophilic polyurethane designed to react with water and form a water impermeable gel mass. HYDRO ACTIVE® Multigel NF is a pale yellow, nonflammable liquid. When it comes into contact with water, the grout begins to foam or gel, and depending on the temperature and amount of water present, quickly cures to a flexible, impermeable foam or gel mass unaffected by mildly corrosive environments. Cure times can be modified using accelerator (Flexgel Cat W) and gel strength can be increased using reinforcing agent.
- Apply SewperCoat® at a minimum thickness of 1/2"
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION- SewperCoat® is a 100% pure calcium aluminate premix used for the rehabilitation of sewerage structures. It is also used as a lining for most wastewater structures in new construction applications. Because it is 100% calcium aluminate there is no “weak link” in the material to cause potential problems in the H2S environment
- Once applied, the unique mineralogy of SewperCoat® inhibits bacterial (Thiobacillus) activity, minimizing the production of sulfuric acid (H2SO4). This process results in a locally raised surface pH in a wastewater structure. This bacterial inhibiting phenomenon is referred to as the “Protective Reactive Barrier Effect” of SewperCoat®
